Day 1 Donesies! Crazy Europeans!

An awesome feeling to get out on another challenge and raise some money and awareness for charity!
Turin – Sampeyre
The day started late at 12.30 infact from outside the football stadium in Turin, the roads were long and pretty much straight so you could see where you were heading and see where you had come from. It played a little on the mind but everyone put in an awesome performance to get ourselves across the miles and that little but closer to home.
At the moment, all eyes are on day 2 and the huge challenge of the highest climb in the entire challenge, going up over 9000 ft and back down again, it promises to really open our eyes into what actually lies ahead and the pain we will be willing to put our bodies through to make it back to Cardiff.
Everyone on the team is in good spirits and really working well together! We are currently spending the night in a huge old grand hotel, its pretty much empty and feels like a haunted house. =) . Dom in fact pulled the short straw and is currently on his own in the creepiest room I have ever seen, should make for an interesting nights sleep!
Highlight of the day for me was getting the chance to go swimming, paddling in a glacier river from high up in the alps, bloody freezing but a good laff, especially when Sammy wiped out in the river and couldn’t get out, beached whale! =)
